I think I have a memory problem. How can I check my RAM?
Many random errors can be caused problems with your RAM modules. If you suspect memory problems we suggest checking your RAM using MemTest86. It is a free application and can be downloaded from www.memtest86.com. Download the ISO image and burn it to a CD. You can now launch the test by booting directly of the CD.

How can I burn a CD or DVD on my workstation?
All of our standard workstation configurations include a combination DVD and CD burning drive. What type of media you can burn will be dependent on the drive included in your system. Video DVD's can be burned from your DVD authoring application if included with your machine (ex. Adobe Encore DVD, Ulead DVD Workshop, etc.). Audio and Data disks can be burned using the disk writing software included in the Goodies folder on your desktop. For specific instructions please see the application's help files and user manual.

My system did not come with antivirus or antispyware software. Which one should I use?
We typically do not recommend loading antivirus software on a dedicated video production workstation. Most antivirus software is always running in the background and can seriously affect performance. If you must have antivirus software loaded, we have found no specific version to be any less invasive than others, so cannot make a recommendation. We have found that Microsoft's Windows Defender is a good antispyware application.
