This model offers high quality video/audio capture of DV and professional digital sources. The Niagara 4229 provides a combination of composite video (BNC), S-Video, DV (via IEEE 1394), SDI (SMTPE-259M) video with embedded SDI audio, unbalanced stereo audio, balanced stereo audio (XLR), and professional digital audio (AES/EBU) via included 1U rackmount breakout panel.
A/V monitoring is available via a separate breakout cable. This system also includes; Niagara SCX remote encoder management and control software and Niagara SchedulStream encoder scheduling software (see detailed product descriptions under "Niagara Software") Osprey SimulStream feature supports multiple concurrent streams of RealNetworks RealVideo and Microsoft Windows Media at variable bit rates.
This model has a Pentium 4 processor system with Gigabit Ethernet, 160 gigabit hard drive, Real Producer Plus, DVD-RW w/Nero software, Windows Media Encoder V9 and Windows XP Professional.
This model is also capable of accepting three additional cold-swap ATA hard drives in RAID configuration.
