The HD | Lust is for digital artists, editors and colorists requiring a flexible 10 bit uncompressed Dual Link and Single Link multi format I\O solution.
10 bit RGB 4:4:4.
HD | Lust supports real time input and output of full band width uncompressed SDTV and HDTV video supporting 10 bit and 8 bit RGB 4:4:4, 10 bit and 8 bit YUV 4:2:2, 8 bit RGB 4:4:4:4 data streams.
Working in uncompressed 10 bit 4:4:4/4:4:4:4 internal processing keeps the integrity of images and retains color integrity in Standard Definition and High Definition modes compared to 8 bit based Video solutions.
10 bit provides 1024 levels of color compared to 8 bit solutions that provide only 256 levels of color.
Dual Link Solutions.
The HD | Lust is perfectly matched for the next generatio of Dual link HD products such as the Sony HDCAM SR™ series and for Dual Link telecine transfers via its uncompressed 10 bit dual link 4:4:4 HD\SD SDI inputs.
HD to SD downconversion.
With the innovative HD-SDI to SD-SDI broadcast quality down converter feature, the HD | Lust allows simultaneous preview of HD material on an HD-SDI monitor and an SD-SDI monitor from the dedicated SD-SDI video output, even while in Dual Link 4:4:4/4:4:4:4 mode.
Alternatively the HD | Lust can be used to master to SD and HD decks simultaneously using the HD data stream or used as an SD-SDI monitoring alternative to expensive HD-SDI monitors.
HD down conversion is performed in hardware while in HD modes, avoiding low quality software conversions and without the need for a second SD card. This feature is application independent allowing all applications to take advantage of HD to SD down conversion.
HD | Lust has a programmable interface for future functionality enhancements such as HSDL.
8 Channels of Digital Audio.
HD | Lust incorporates advanced audio features supporting 8 channels of quality 24 bits AES/EBU/SPDIF Digital audio at 48khz, perfect for surround sound editing. In addition HD | Lust has sample rate converters on all input channel pairs for non sync audio input (32kHz- 100kHz).
Professional Broadcast Genlock
The HD | Lust has full genlocking capability. The output circuits are fully decoupled from the input circuits for unconditionally stable video outputs - even during capture where the card performs as a synchronizer. SDI Outputs meet SMPTE specs (including jitter) at all times with or without Bi level or Tri level genlock.

Symmetry
Included with HD | Lust is Symmetry™, a 10-bit RGB/YUV sequential capture and playback station for Windows.
Supported file formats are sequential 10-bit RGB Cineon, DPX and 10-bit YUV QuickTime™.
Symmetry’s™ use of industry standard file formats ensures that a digital artist can work with a consistent file format throughout the production workflow, not requiring file format conversions, reducing rendering times to zero.
Digital content created from Nuke™, Mirage, After Effects™, Digital Fusion™ or Combustion™, etc can be moved seamlessly to high end finishing systems such as Discreet, Nucoda or Da Vinci.
