Procoder 3 is coming!
Gleaned from the forum:
ProCoder 3
ETA: Not set. We're hoping by mid-year, but possibly much earlier.
NAB2007: It'll be there
Vista Support: Yes, I am told it'll be supported under Windows Vista
Pricing: Full Version: $499 (US MSRP), Upgrade Version: $199 (US MSRP)
Qualified Upgrade Products: ProCoder 1.x, 2.x, ProCoder Express for EDIUS (any version). The standalone retail/downloadable ProCoder Express does not qualify
Grace Period/Free Upgrades: No. Pricing is as above. The price of ProCoder 2.0 was actually dropped a couple of months ago, which covers what would have been the "gap." That said, you're fully entitled to wait if you have not purchased ProCoder...but remember that there is no ETA at this time.
New Features: Grid encoding for MPEG-2 (like Speed Encoder for HDV, but more flexible with parameters) Timecode Preservation Inverse Telecine Audio Mapping NLE Export Plug-ins for EDIUS v4 and Prem Pro 2.0
New Source Formats H.264 AVCHD (M2TS) Dolby Digital (AC-3)
New Target Formats and Profiles Canopus HQ H.264 iPod (MPEG-4) Dolby Digital (AC-3) MediaEdge (MPEG-2, MPEG-4)
Dolby Digital Support: Yes. Up to 5.1
QuickTime 7/Blu-ray/HD-DVD profiles: Still checking on these things
Demo version: ditto

This is great news for all our encoding fans who have wanted a new version!
