Announcing Sorenson Squeeze 4.8 for Flash
Now including H.264!
Flash and H.264 are together at last. Adobe's new media player now allows content encoded in H.264 to be played in Flash. What this means for Squeeze users is that you will now be able to get the high quality of H.264 and the broad reach of the Adobe Flash Player.
This upgrade enables users of Sorenson Media´s award-winning application to encode Flash content in the MPEG-4 format with the H.264/AVC, AAC and HE-AAC codecs and adds the capability of encoding MPEG-4 content for popular devices like Apple's iPod and Sony's PSP as well.
Currently Squeeze 4.8 for Flash is only available as an electronic download.
Note that Compression Suite 4.5.7 users also has the ability to create H.264 files that can be viewed in Flash.
