Avid Xpress Pro version 5.7.5 Update - Free for 5.7 Users
Approximately a year ago, Avid initiated a series of quality improvement initiatives. These initiatives focused on product stability and robustness improvements for all development activities. We continue to emphasis quality within product development and want to let you know that we are dedicated to on-going quality improvements.
We recently completed an assessment of customer satisfaction. This study confirmed our emphasis on this quality initiative. It also confirmed your passion as Avid users. Your feedback has been and continues to be instrumental in directing our quality initiative now and into the future.

Avid is pleased to announce the release of Avid Xpress® Pro version 5.7.5. This release, which is available for both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs in addition to PC systems, includes numerous quality improvements and enhancements. Avid Xpress Pro v5.7.5 is available at no charge to all registered owners of Avid Xpress Pro v5.7 and Avid Xpress Studio v5.7.
Why upgrade?
- Quality improvements.
- Latest Mac OS X and QuickTime version support. This release supports Mac OS 10.4.10 and QuickTime 7.2.
- CPU hardware support. Avid has added a number of workstations and notebooks, both Mac and PC, to the list of qualified and recommended CPU hardware.
- Improved installation. Avid Xpress Pro v5.7.5 can now be installed “silently” – without any user intervention. No more dialogue boxes to click during the installation!
- Avid Unity ISIS™ support. In conjunction with the Avid Xpress Pro v5.7.5 release, Avid Unity ISIS v1.4 is being made available. This new release is highly recommended and includes many enhancements for collaborative environments.

Avid Support Contract customers. If you own Avid Xpress Pro and you have a valid Avid Support Contract, you can download an upgrade at no charge from the Avid Download Center.
Avid Xpress Pro v5.7 and Avid Xpress Studio v5.7. Customers with Avid Xpress Pro v5.7 or Avid Xpress Studio v5.7 can upgrade to Avid Xpress Pro v5.7.5 at no charge. There is no need to update your dongle. Please visit the Avid Download Center.
